How To Find A Reputable Breeder

During the time I was actively breeding, I got  phone calls or emails almost every week from people looking for a Wire.  I created this page as a starting point to help people with their search. If you are looking for a Fox Terrier, please take time to read through this information. I hope it leads you to a wonderful breeder and the perfect dog..

In today's world, the Internet is the tool that many people are using to find their puppy. It provides a way for families to search all over the country to find the pup that best suits their household. However, the truth is that using the Internet is a double edged sword. While some reputable breeders do have websites, many do not. They also rarely, if ever, advertise in the newspaper. You may never know about their wonderfully bred and raised puppies unless you know where else to look and what to look for.

When I was a teacher, we worked hard to show our students how to determine the validity of a website. There are things that you can look for to determine whether a kennel website is from a reputable breeder, a "back-yard" breeder or even a puppy mill. Before I list those "red flags" you might watch for, take time to read the articles below.
